At Grupo Faro Verde, we believe that developing our businesses also means creating value for the communities we are part of. That is why, through Faro Verde Foundation and together with Faro Verde Turismo, we have renewed an initiative that transforms a regular part of our hotel operations into a tangible contribution to Tandil’s public healthcare system.
This year, we donated 485 items, including towels, bath sheets, bed sheets, pillowcases, bathrobes, blankets, and bedspreads, to the Integrated Public Healthcare System. The items will be distributed among different healthcare facilities to support the day-to-day care of patients.
The initiative stems from the annual replacement of hotel linens at Mulen Hotel, Hostería de la Cascada, and Amaike Hotel Golf & Spa. Maintaining high standards of quality and comfort for our guests is an essential part of how we understand hospitality. Through Faro Verde Foundation, items that have reached the end of their cycle within our hotels are given a new purpose and continue to serve the community.
This initiative is made possible thanks to the ongoing commitment of the Faro Verde Turismo teams. From selecting and sorting the items to preparing each donation, different hotel departments work together to make the initiative possible.
“Every linen replacement involves coordinated work across our hotels. Knowing that items that have reached the end of their operational cycle can continue to be useful to so many people is what gives meaning to this shared effort,” said Diego Garabato, General Manager of Faro Verde Turismo.
Representatives from Tandil’s Integrated Public Healthcare System highlighted the value of an initiative that continues over time.
“This is a very important contribution to our healthcare services. The constant use and rotation of these items means they are subject to ongoing wear and tear, so having this support is extremely valuable to the day-to-day operation of the system,” said Guillermo Pizzorno, Medical Director of Hospital Ramón Santamarina.
Maximiliano Cortés, Foundation Coordinator, added: “We believe development is also built by strengthening relationships with the institutions within our community. Through the Foundation, we seek to create opportunities for the different business units within Grupo Faro Verde to turn their capabilities into initiatives that generate a positive and lasting impact over time.”
Beyond the donation itself, this initiative reflects a way of doing things: connecting our capabilities with the needs of the community, promoting the responsible use of resources, and strengthening relationships that contribute to the sustainable development of Tandil.
