El Valle de Tandil Golf Club reached a major milestone in its transformation with the reopening tournament and the return to play across the full 18-hole course. This marks the beginning of a new stage in the club’s comprehensive redesign, a project aimed at elevating the overall golfing experience and positioning Tandil as a golf destination offering high-quality services.
More than 100 players took part in the tournament, held over two days under the Medal Play format. The event provided the first opportunity to compete on the new course layout, particularly holes 10 through 18, which have recently been completed.
Beyond the sporting event itself, however, this moment represents the beginning of a broader process. The course is now entering an adaptation phase, as is natural with a transformation of this scale. The new greens, turf, and course design will continue to evolve over time until they reach their full potential.
The redesign incorporates technical criteria aimed at improving the quality of play: a more fluid layout, gentler slopes, greater visibility across playing areas, and greens built to international standards. These changes are designed to create a more strategic, walkable, and enjoyable course for golfers of all levels.
In this context, Pedro Málaga, Club Manager, highlighted:
“Reaching this point, with all 18 holes back in play, is the result of an incredible effort from the entire team. The project was completed within the planned timeframe, and we even managed to finish this first stage a month ahead of schedule.”
The initiative is part of a broader vision led by Grupo Faro Verde, which sees golf as a driver of regional development. Bringing together the golf course, hotel offering, and associated services makes it possible to create a comprehensive experience capable of attracting golfers from different regions and strengthening Tandil’s position on the golf map.
This journey does not end with the completion of the construction work. It is an ongoing process that requires time, dedication, and consistency for every element — from course design to maintenance — to reach its full potential.
